Last week I went to Glamour Hair Salon in Al Zeina, Abu Dhabi and got invited to try their LVL lashes treatment. I got also a 10% discount code for all of you guys and cannot wait to share my experience with you!

Until that time I have never heard about LVL before. When lovely Reena from Glamour Salon UAE asked me if I would like to try it I was very curious and directly said yes because I always struggle so hard with my lashes. My lashes don’t have volume, are short and don’t look very nice. I tried some lashes extension in the past and really loved it but didn’t like that the lashes fell out after a short time already and then you have to re do them as it otherwise looks weird.
So yes, this time I was super excited to try something new, the LVL lashes treatment at Glamour Hais Salon.

LVL stands for length-volume-lift, and the idea is simple: a therapist uses a setting serum to straighten your natural lashes at the root, then she is making them look curled up and then your lashes are tinted, creating the appearance of mascara.
It sounds really easy and to be honest this was also the way it worked for me.

Therapist Grace did the LVL lash treatment with me at the salon and she explained every step to me so I knew always what she did.

How it works

We started with the first step.
Grace began with cleaning my lashes. Then she put a shield over my lower lashes to make sure they were protected from the perming solution later on.
Then you close your eyes, which feels slightly weird but not at all painful, and you keep your eyes closed for the rest of the 45-minute treatment. This was really easy for me and I didn’t felt any pain at all and felt even asleep during the LVL.
The next step included another shield. My therapist combed out my lashes and put silicone shields on my upper lids. These shields determine the level of lift and there are three options to choose from: most dramatic (small shield), average (medium) and least dramatic (large). I went with medium and would love to try next time the small shield to make it even more dramatic.

She gently pulled my lashes up onto the shield, and applied a perming lotion to the roots which was left there for around 10 minutes.

After leaving it on to set for around 10 minutes, she applied a neutralizer to the roots for five minutes.
After this Grace then applied the tint to darken my lashes so it looks like mascara in the end.
The last step was a moisturising serum, which helps the lashes come off the shield. Then I could open my eyes and looked at her amazing work in the mirror.

The lashes last now around 6 weeks and i really love the result and would do it definitely again. I think that LVL lashes is the perfect treatment for girls who have already medium size or long lashes and just need a lift up. I can really recommend it as it looks very natural, it only takes 45 minutes, its not expensive and it dient hurt at all!
