Weekends are for staycations and this time we had an epic experience at Hyatt Capital Gate in Abu Dhabi.

We did not trust our eyes after we checked in at Hyatt Capital Gate in Abu Dhabi as we got invited to stay at one of their exclusive Executive Suites for a weekend and it was truly awesome.
It’s huge, elegant and super chic! The view is stunning and the feeling to stay in this spectacular suite is just unbelievable. But lets start from the beginning.
So Tim and I went to stay at Hyatt Capital Gate which is known usually as a typical business hotel located in Abu Dhabi’s exhibition area.

The hotel is very famous as it’s known as the “Leaning Tower” of Abu Dhabi. The breathtaking architecture is certified by Guinness World Records as the “World’s furthest leaning man-made tower”.

Our Executive Suite was located on the 30th floor and when we opened the door we were totally flashed by it!

You enter the suite and start in the corridor, next to it is the guest bathroom, straight the big living room and dining location as such the little pantry kitchen. Left hand you find the huge bedroom with its big windows and cozy, comfy queen-size bed. Next to it is another bathroom with toilet, shower and its bathtub… or should I say, Jacuzzi!? Sure, all of these rooms are overlooking whole Abu Dhabi including breathtaking sunsets

On our first day we arrived around 12 and checked in. After we explored the room we went down to the pool which is located on 19th floor. The pool is also a special venue because it’s very unique and you have a spectacular view over the city. The sun beds are very comfy and wide so you can lay down and relax to the fullest.
However as we didn’t eat the whole day we went back to the room around 3 PM and ordered a little lunch via the room service. Something you should definitely do on every staycation 😉
The great thing at Hyatt capita Gate is that you don’t have to call anybody because they have this great WhatsApp service, where you can contact the concierge by just sending a WhatsApp message and will easily be assisted.
So Tim and I ordered some healthy chicken with broccoli on the side. For our surprise we also got fresh cut fruits for dessert. It was the perfect healthy lunch we needed after our bath in the sun. Even though we used the great WhatsApp option, the room service came in time, was super friendly and the food was super tasty – all hotels should offer a service like this, don’t you think so?!

Now it was about time to relax even more. So we checked out the Rayana Spa for a 60 minutes couple massage. Totally our thing and it’s not the first time we checked-in here for a great couple treatment. Once you enter the spa, you see some incredibly beautiful changing rooms, with modern facilities, steam room, sauna etc. Another benefit of this hotel: you get all the toiletries in bathroom and even in the spa. Other 5 star hotels should note that on their to-do lists. For forgettable people like us it’s more than brilliant.

The massage was great as you can already imagine. The therapists focused on all the mentioned areas of our bodies and did their very best to make us relaxed and relief our muscle pain. It was just beautiful and sooo relaxing!

As you know you are every tired after such a good massage so we went back up to the room to relax further. This time by having a bath in our very own Jacuzzi. Together with a bottle of red wine and nice relaxing music we waited for the sundown and relaxed to the fullest. Nice, cozy warm and just amazing! We want THAT Jacuzzi in our own bathroom 😉

As soon the sunset was there we got ready for Iftar at 18 degrees restaurant. We knew it already as we have been to the Iftar preview so we were sure it’s gonna be nice.
Especially the Shawarma at the restaurant is so good! Yummy!

As we ate soo much we were so ready for bed afterwards and went up again to lay down in our super nice and cozy bed. From here you can overlook the whole city of Abu Dhabi with all its lights.
While most of the people just started into the weekend and went out, Tim and I decided to enjoy every single second in bed and relaxed. The next morning we woke up with the sunlight, which tickled our nose and we went for the breakfast buffet at 18 degrees.
Next to fresh fruits, juices and co. we also had waffles, pancakes, omelettes and many other delicious things!

The last hours before check out we went again to the pool and got a little tan. Okay to be honest Tim is a little sunburned now but as we all know, whats red now will be brown very soon 😉

So yes, that was it. A wonderful weekend in one of Abu Dhabi’s top hotels. For some it’s “just” a business hotel but for us it’s even more: A place to relax, with a stunning architecture, modern interior, great pool, awesome service and food.

The great thing is that you can save now up to 20% when you book the hotel via hyatt.com – so don’t wait too long and check it out!Hyatt Capital Gate Staycation
