New year and new year resolutions. Yes, I think we all struggle already after the first week with our New Years pledges like healthy eating, more sports and other things. To make it a little bit easier for you, we want to show you our sweet and healthy snack today: Raw energy balls!
These little energy balls are the perfect alternative to chocolate and other sweet things which make you happy but don’t really help you to lose your fat 😉
However these things also have calories for sure, but they are also packed with lots of vitamins, protein and other great things and help you to boost your power!
Already last year we showed you a great recipe for Raw Energy Balls on our YouTube channel, but this year we even redefined the recipe and made it even better.
So all you need for you super yummy Raw Energy Balls is:
- 500 g dates
- 50 g apricots
- 125 rooibos tea
- 60 ml cacao powder
- 15 ml raw honey
- 100 g raw almonds
- cacao powder for coating
Cook the dates and apricots in the tea in a pan or pot until soft and all the liquid has evaporated. After put all together in a food processor and chop it.
Add the cocoa powder and if the dough is not already sweet enough also add some honey or agave sirup.
Now the energy balls are ready to shape! very nice is it if you out one almond in the middle and shape the ball around it. Last but not least roll the energy balls in cacao powder, coconut flakes or chopped almonds and enjoy these yummy little Energy Balls!
They are soooooo good!
