“What would you like for breakfast, baby? …”

… this is the question we face every weekend.
We love breakfast! It’s the most important meal of the day and we can’t get enough of that but mostly we’re to lazy to prepare something super complicated. However, we love fancy things and this does also include our meals!

So, what’s fancy, easy, super yummy and healthy at the same time?
Yes, right, our unbelievable amazing Avocado toast and Banana toast. SOOOOOO GOOOD!

avocado toast

As you guys maybe already seen on Instagram or Snapchat, Jules loves Avocado Toast – and either do I 😉 To be honest we nearly eat every day at least one avocado toast but always in the same variation and this is also the reason why we want to introduce you to our avocado and banana toasts!

For one Avocado toast you need:

  • 1 Avocado
  • Juice of 1/2 Lime
  • 1/4 Pepper
  • 2-3 Strawberries
  • Rocket Salad
  • Balsamic(-Creme)
  • Garlic (if you like)
  • Salt & Pepper (we used lavender salt)
  • Bread
  • Olive oil

The preparation is really simple:
First of all heat a pan and drizzle a bit of oil into it. Grill the slices of bread in it. Peal the avocado and move it into a bowl. Add the juice of 1/2 lime and mix it with a fork. Everything should be smooth and creamy. After that cut the pepper in little fine pieces and add it as well to the avocado mousse. Mix it again and taste it while adding some pepper and salt. Now you can prepare the bread slices with the avocado mouse.
Wash and prepare the rocket salad and add it as well onto the bread. Finally cut the strawberries to slices and add them as well on too of the bred and decorate everything with a little bit of balsamic creme (Fresh basil and mozzarella also make a great addition). Yummi!.

That you can have avocado on bread and toast was not a big secret, right? But have you heard about caramelized banana slices with honey yet? We had and really wanted to try it out! So yes and this is the result! An awesome combination which you can’t get enough of! Really!

For two banana breads you need the following ingredients:

  • 2 Bananas
  • 2-3 Strawberries
  • Bread
  • Oliveoil
  • Brown sugar
  • Honey or marple syrup

This is how you do it:
Prepare the bread as already mentioned previously. Now cut the banana into slices – they shouldn’t be too thick. Heat the pan, add the brown sugar and put the banana slices into it. Sprinkle a little bit of the brown sugar over the bananas and grill it from both sides for around 3 minutes until the color turns to gold brown. Place the slices on the bread and add the strawberries as well and give some honey on top of it. Amazing!

Enjoy this sweet and healthy breakfast!

    Annalena
