Sofitel JBR The Walk #Staycation in Dubai

by

Another weekend, another staycation but this time in Dubai at Sofitel JBR (Jumeirah Beach).

Only a few steps away from the beach, located in the heart of Jumeirah Beach residences, the hotel’s 438 rooms offer unbeatable views across the blue waters of the Gulf and “The Walk.”
The seafront promenade guarantees a constant buzz of restaurants, activities and so much to see you never get bored.
Tim and I chose Sofitel JBR as we wanted to be close to the Marina and to JBR as we just love this area in Duabi because there so much to see.
Fancy cars, crazy people, nice restaurats and the water always only a hint away.

We went to Dubai early Friday morning and spend a little time at the Outlet mall and had breakfast at Tub of Buttercked in.
It is easy to find and if you put the name into your goolgle maps it directly guides you to the place.

We were welcomed friendly and the valet guy pparked our car.
Also the check in staff was super nice and guest relations maager Ali took good care of us.

We got guided to our room which was located on leve 29th so we had a stunning view all over Jumeirah and the palm which was really awesome. Also the bathroom was super modern and well deigned with a nice bath tub , shower etc.
The bed was quiet big and super compfy and Tim and I selpt very well.

After we checked in we went to check out the infitiy pool.
We saw it already on some pictures on the internet and were so excited.
However the pool was packed with people and we could only rarely find the last two available sunchairs there. It was really a pity as we experienced exactly the same on Saturday morning again where we couldnt find any sunchairs for us.
So yes the pool is nice, you have a fantastoic view, the staff is friendsly and the pool food and drinks are good but it was to crowded for us.

In the afternoon we met or friends Tom and Julia who came all the way down to dubai from Ab Dhabi and e went to Smoky beach together. This is a shisha bar directly at the beach with nice benches and chairs or ciozy bean bags on the sand.
My highlight here is always the special juice you can order in either a pineapple or a watermelon. Quiet expensive 55AED but very delicious!

The shisha is also quite pricy with 95 AED but the location is really stunning and unbeatable so you are easily willing to pay this price 🙂

After this we had dinner at the Butchery, a steakhouse also dirctly at JBR.
For my suprise the meat was excellence. Nice and soft and juicy. Exactly how I like it. Accompanied by this we tried some truffle parmesan fries and some aspargus. Very delicious!

The next morning we were super excited for the breakfast as we really really like hotel breakfasts and could not await it!
And yes the selection of breakfast was very good. Fresh and international buffet with a healthy and gluten free corner, fresh juices and nice bread. Everything you need!
To sum up, Tim and I really enjoyed the staycation at Sofitel JBR and had a great time.

We paid 530 AED + taxes including breakfast and had a very nice room.
