Chocolate tastes better if you share it, right? Right! So Tim and I went to the fabulous chocolate masterclass at the Hyatt on Saadiyat and spent a fantastic evening with fantastic chocolate.
Especially for me, the chocolate masterclass was the perfect even I am the biggest chocolate lover on earth, okay, or at least here in the Middle East. When we got the invitation to try this out we couldn’t resist and were super excited to go.
The location was already stunning as the event was hosted at The Residence at the Hyatt on Saadiyat Island which is just super amazing. Neal from Weiss chocolat introduced himself to the crowd and explained us the history of his chocolate and the process from a little cacao bean the way to become a chocolate bar. This was really cool and super interested as we had the chance to feel, smell and taste the cacao and chocolate. And his french accent made it even more sympathetic 😉
After we listened to Neal we went over to the practical part in which Patisserie Thomas showed us how to prepare a delicious chocolate mousse and chocolate fondant. It looked very easy and was so yummy that we cannot wait to prepare this at home again.
Additionally we got the chance to try the sweet and savory menu: Seared foie gras with port wine figs, port wine reduction & Weiss “acuariga” or Chocolate & truffle Weiss oricao chocolate ganache, fleur de sel, black truffle essence to name a few. It was so DELICIOUS!
The cost of the event is AED250 + taxes inclusive of food only, with a special takeaway to remember, this interactive and educational discovery will leave guests inspired by the diverse dishes that chocolate can complement.
It is open to all between 25th and 30th of October, the menu will be on offer from 7:00 PM, each evening.
